Things to do Pattaya (Bangkok) - A city of fun & desire
About The place:
When you enter Pattaya, it switches on the power button of fun. This city takes time to wake up in the morning but when it is up it fills the life with energy, if you are water sports lovers then this city belongs to you. After dark, the action shifts to the walking streets, as travellers explore its electrified nightlife scene, where drinking and partying continue until dawn.
Apart from water sports and nightlife, Pattaya offers endless options to kill your time, when it comes to accommodation and entertainment & fun. It has developed its face from a seedy beach town to a destination for a wider range of audiences; whether it is couples, families or business travellers, Pattaya has something to amaze everyone. It is situated only 147km from Bangkok, which makes Pattaya the closest of Thailand's major beach resorts to the capital city.
It has everything to please your mind body & soul.
Estimated cost per Person:
In the case of Pattaya, it is a bit difficult to estimate the cost per person. There is no limit to the max you can spend there. But there is a minimum cost for sure. Many travel agencies may provide you with a good package starting from 20 to 25 thousand rupees but this normally includes only travel to and from Pattaya and stay for 3 to 4 days and 1 meal per day. But I am pretty sure you are not there for a stay only. You are there to enjoy every bit of your second spend in Pattaya. So following are a few more things with the cost which you must know before being there.
1. Visa 1000 baht to 1200 Baht (depending on Normal queue or Express queue for on arrival application)
2. A SIM card for local communication while your stay which will cost around 500 Baht with unlimited data usage I found AIS SIM which was good at remote locations such as Coral Island and etc. If you have an International SIM toped up with your regular service provider then it is not required.
3. Third, if you have already booked your pick up or drop from Airport to the hotel and back then you can move further. But if not, then make sure that you are out of the airport with all formalities completed latest by 21:30 hrs (local time) so that you can catch public transport (Bus services from Bangkok Airport to Pattaya City), which are really good and cheap too. It would cost you around 200 baht till Pattaya whereas a normal cab service charges a minimum of 1200 Baht.
4. Hotels, I found Hotel much-much cheaper than in India there. You can book a decent 3-star hotel for around 600 to 700 Baht.
5. Then after so much travel, you must be tired and now it’s time to take a foot massage. This is available everywhere with a cost tag of 100 Baht.
6. If you want to have Classic & Traditional Body Massage, This may cost from 1000 Baht to 4000 baht.
7. If you want to have Soapy Massage then it will cost you from 2000 baht to 4000 Baht.
8. In Pattaya, there are many tourist spots to visit which all cost entry fees of around 500 Baht plus-minus 100 Baht. Like 3D Art Museum, Russian Show, Thai Show, Tiger Park, Pattaya Market on the lake and many more.
9. Around 2000 to 2200 Baht for watersports (Includes Parasailing, Under Sea Walk, Banana Ride, Jet scooter Ride and Lunch, If you want to have Scuba Diving then It will cost around 3000 to 4000 Baht
10. Any good Nightclub will have entry fees of 500 Baht on Walking Street in Pattaya whereas you will find Nasha Club providing free Entry.
11. Food, if you are pure veggie then you may struggle a bit. But you can eat some sweetest tropical fruits at a cost of 10 to 20 Baht. And for non-vegetarians Pattaya is an Ocean of food verity.
So Above 11 spending is fixed which you will be doing in Pattaya. Rest many more things are there which everyone knows about to spend your money on. This may cost 2000 Baht to 8000 baht depending upon the country.
So now you must have an idea where and how much you are going to spend.
