Moral Story: What are you? A potato, an egg, or coffee beans

Once a daughter came to her father and complained to him that her life was pathetic. And she said that she does not understand what she is doing and what is happening to her. He has to struggle all the time and nothing happens in life without struggle. And now she is tired of the struggle. It seems as if one problem is solved, another problem arises in her life. In this way, her life is bad and continues to deteriorate.

Her father, who was a professional cook, brought her with him to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on the stove. As the water started boiling, he put potatoes in one pot, eggs in another and coffee beans in the third pot. And let them boil, he did not say anything to his daughter.

The daughter was looking at her father, as well as an unhappy mind and eagerly waiting for him to say something, wondering what he was doing.

After some time her father closes the stove and takes all the pots down. Then he takes out the potatoes and put them in a bowl. The eggs have to be put in another bowl. Takes out the coffee and pour it in a cup.

 

Now he turns to his daughter and asks her.

"Daughter, what do you see?"

"Potatoes, eggs and coffee," she replies quickly.

"Look properly," he said again, "and asked to touch the potato." And asked, what is the difference between this potato before boiling and after?

She did the same and said that they are soft now but they were tough before.

Then he asked her to take an egg and asked her to break it.

And asked the same question again, what is the difference in this egg before and now?

Daughter said earlier it was like liquid from inside but now it has become solid than before.

Finally, he gives her a cup of coffee and ask her to drink coffee.

The aroma of coffee brought a smile to her face.

"What does this mean?" The daughter asked the father.

 

He then specified to the daughter that potatoes, eggs, and coffee beans faced the same unusual and difficult conditions (boiling water). But, each responded differently under the same circumstances. The potato looked stiff but in boiling water, it became soft and weak.

The egg was liquid and weak from the inside, just a thin outer layer for its protection until it was laid in difficult conditions. After that, the outer layer of the egg remained the same but it became stronger from inside.

And coffee beans were magnificent. After coming in contact with boiling water, their physical existence ceased but they modified the situation (water) itself and made it something better for others too.

"When adversity comes in your life, how do you react to that situation?" this is up to you.

"What are you? A potato, an egg, or coffee beans" now he asked his daughter.

 

Moral of the Story:

Conditions are favorable or unfavorable in everyone's life. It is not important how the circumstances are but how you respond to those situations. Because that is what takes your life to the highest or lowest level.
